Charlie Lee Clubb, 65, a native of Longview, Texas, retired fork lift operator and resident of Arlington, died on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at a local care facility. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at True Life Apostolic Tabernacle of Mansfield, 2094 McDonald Lane, Mansfield, Texas, where funeral services will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Pastor Regis Perkins, officiating. Burial will follow at DFW National Cemetery. Charlie was born on November 14, 1948, one of eight children born to the late Harvel Clubb and the late Dorothy Mae Howard Clubb. He would attend and graduate from Harrold High School in Harrold, Texas, an unincorporated community in Wilbarger County located in far west Texas. Shortly after his graduation, he would serve two years in the US Navy. He was stationed on the USS Constellation, providing support for ground troops during the Vietnam War. His service would include two years of active duty, and nineteen years in the Reserves. After his military service, he would return to Newark, Texas. Friends would arrange a blind date, where he would meet Wanda Ann White. They would fall in love, marry, and spend the next forty-one years together. Those who knew him best will testify of his love for Jesus Christ. He was a charter member of True Life Apostolic Church and served faithfully as an elder to the congregation. When time and health allowed, he loved to spend time fishing. He will be missed most deeply by his wife; Wanda Ann White Clubb; children, Rachael Blicki, Robert Clubb, Charles Clubb; grandchildren, Norissa Blicki Smith, Michael Blicki; siblings, Cecil Clubb and his wife Gail, Joan Neville, Brenda Beasley, Helen Johnson and Glenda MaeGlobgion. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, James and Hazel.
