Juanita Raymon Beamont, 91, a retired homemaker, loving mother and grandmother, passed from this life on Wednesday evening, September 3, 2014 following a brief illness. Visitation: 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014 at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home, 500 E. Main Street, Grand Prairie, Texas, 75050, where funeral services will be conducted at 6. A private family burial will occur at a later date. Mrs Beamont was born on December 3, 1922 in Crystal City, Texas, one of 9 children born to the late Manuel and Petra Raymon. The daughter of a migrant family, they would live in various cities, including San Antonio. Before the decline of her health, she was a gifted and skilled knitter and cook. All of her family members loved eating her fresh home-made flour tortillas. She had been a resident of Grand Prairie for the last 10 years. Survivors include her son, Everette Menchaca and his wife Ismaela; daughter, Delores Ruiz; grandchidlren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Rosa Garza and her 8 siblings. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be given to the family for unexpected expenses.
