Joe Allen Cornforth, a salesman for Stewart and Stevenson Natural Gas and Petroleum, died on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at a local hospital. Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home, 500 E. Main Street, Grand Prairie, Texas, 75050, where Funeral Services will be conducted at 5:30. Joe was born on March 18, 1958, the son of the late Donald Leo Cornforth and the late Doris Mae Ask Cornforth. He would join the US Air Force and serve his country for more than 5 years as a jet engine mechanic. Joe was an avid poker player and motorcycle enthusiast. He loved taking bike trips, often traveling to National Monuments for vacation. When time allowed, he would spend time fishing or “just tinkering” around the home. He is survived by his wife of more than 32 years, Patricia L. “Patti” Cornforth; children, Matthew Allen Cornforth, Benjamin Scott Cornforth; grandchildren, Zachary Allen Cornforth, Riley Asher Cornforth and Abigail Chloe Cornforth. Also by his siblings, Tracee Louann Cornforth and Katherine Marie Eadler and a large extended family.
