Randall Bart Leverton, 51, loving son, brother, father, grandfather and friend, slipped unexpectedly from this earthly life into life eternal on Thursday evening, May 14, 2015. Visitation: 12 p.m to 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 18, 2015 at United Pentecostal Church of Paris, 5075 Loop 286 SE, Paris, TX, 75460 followed by funeral services at 1:30. Burial will follow at Boswell Restland Cemetery in Boswell, OK. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be given to Missions, c/o UPC Paris, 5075 Loop 286 SE, Paris, TX, 75460 or The Pentecostals of Bossier City, LA, 2833 Viking Dr, Bossier City, LA 71111. Bart was born in Montrose, Colorado on July 28, 1963, the only son and youngest of 3 children born to Rev. Floyd and Reba Leverton. He would attend schools in Texico, NM and Abilene, TX, graduating from Abilene Cooper High School in 1981. He would soon start working for Western Sizzling Steak Restaurants where he would excel. His expertise as a cook and ability to handle large crowds would grant him quick promotions. Even as a young man, he would become manager at various locations, including Abilene, TX, Jonesboro, AR, Grand Prairie, TX, Ada, OK and Duncanville, TX. While in Ada, Bart would become father of twin sons, followed soon thereafter by a daughter. The tragic loss of one of the twins, Joshua Bart Leverton in 2006 would be an event from which he would never totally recover. Shortly thereafter, he would move to Paris, TX where he would find comfort in his church, United Pentecostal Church of Paris, and live for the rest of his life. Bart was passionate about living life. The same passion was shared for his love of the Dallas Cowboys and the family farm in Boswell. Those who will miss him most include his children; Justin Leverton and wife April of Greenbriar AR, daughter; Brenae Leverton of Abilene; grandsons, Joshua and Beckham; parents, Rev. Floyd and Reba Leverton of Paris; sisters, Regina Leverton Dean and husband Rev. Jerry of Bossier City, LA, Jana Leverton of Paris and a large extended family and a host of friends.
