Carolyn Pryor, loving known to those closest to her as “Mimi”, passed from this life to eternal life on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at a local hospital following a lengthy illness. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 4, 2015 at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home. Funeral: 11 a..m. Tuesday at Indian Hills Baptist Church, where she was a member for more than twenty-five years. Carolyn was born on April 22, 1941, the 5th of 6 children born to the late Ivy Floyd Pope and the late Jennie L. McCutchan Pope in Rotan, TX. Carolyn was a proud mother and homemaker, always the consummate caretaker for her family. Known for having a “green thumb”, she was always working with her plants and flowers. She enjoyed spending time at Pat’s Plants, assisting in the business as her time and health allowed. She was an avid reader, and especially loved reading mystery novels. Carolyn loved music, and was a collector of music from the 50’s. She is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Ned Pryor; children, Carolyn Livingston and her spouse Wayne, Nedra Ragsdale and her spouse Tony, Melody Horton and her spouse David; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth “Butch” Pope and his spouse Mary Frances, Neal “Crawford” Pope and his spouse Sharon and a large extended church family and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Billy Pope, Charles Pope and Wilma Pope. Pallbearers: Josh Pryor, Sterling Ragsdale, Tony Ragsdale II, Shawn Ragsdale, Chaney Horton, Luis Diaz Livingston, Roger Pope and Shawn Pope.
