Tony Duane Obennoskey, 56, loving husband, father, son and brother, slipped from his earthly bonds on Wednesday morning, June 15, 2016 at his home with his family by his side. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home, 500 E. Main Street, Grand Prairie, TX, 75050. Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2016 at The Heartland Church, 4020 Nazarene Drive, Carrollton, TX, 75010. Tony was born on Christmas day, 1959 in Wills Point, Texas, and was the oldest of 4 sons born to the late Olin Obennoskey and Nina Carolyn Hodges. He was raised and attended schools in Irving, and was a graduate of MacArthur High School in 1978. After graduation, he would work in the construction business, becoming a “jack of all trades”. Tony would become a general contractor and establish Larco Construction Company. Always honest and fair, his business would increase for the following 19 years, supported by a faithful group of employees. Tony was a family man, and enjoyed looking after others. He loved fishing and camping trips. often spending more time on the preparations than the trip itself. When he was younger, he developed a passion for racing motorcycles. That love of a motorcycle ride would become an enjoyment he would pursue until his health would no longer allow it. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Deborah Millsap Obennoskey; children, Cole Obennoskey, Brandy Obennoskey; mother, Nina Hodges Barth and her husband Norman; brother, Michael Obennoskey and his spouse Lori. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Alan. If friends desire, the family would direct donations be made in Tony’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN.
