Orville “Dennis” McGuire 68, a native of Texas, died on Friday, July 25, 2014 at his home peacefully in Irving, Texas surrounded by his family. Dennis was born on September 16, 1945, to the late Orville Dufard McGuire and the late Opal Lucille Snider. Soon out of high school Dennis would be drafted to Vietnam where he spent the next four years fighting for his country. Dennis joined the Screaming Eagles and also was wounded earning his Purple Hearts. Dennis was a very avid Storm Watcher. He loved to play with computers and any electronics he could get his hands on. While doing these things he always had his partner in crime, his friend, and his helper, “Buddy” his Shepard Mix, by his side. Survivors: Wife, Della McGuire; Son, Dennis Wayne McGuire; Son, Paul Vincent McGuire and partner Jade Monroe; Daughter, Jennifer Lynn Timmins; Grand Children, Connor McGuire, Casey McGuire; Sister, Betty McGuire Yarbrough and many cousins and friends. Graveside Service: 11 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2014 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1314 E. Irving Blvd, Irving, Texas, 75060. A private burial will occur at Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Arrangements entrusted to Guerrero Dean Funeral Home, under the supervision of Aaron King, Funeral Directer.
