A committal service will follow at Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens. David was born on February 21, 1975 in Mexico. He was the 4th of 8 children born to Maxamino Montiel and Maria Conception Medina. He was a graduate of Adamson High School and an employee of the City of Dallas for more than twenty years. Survivors: children, David Jr., Jessica, Raymond, Angel; father, Maximino Montiel; siblings, Agripina Banda and her spouse Eudio, Suzanna Perez and her spouse Guadalupe, Alfonso Montiel and his spouse Laura, Antonia Luna and her spouse Juan, Diana Montiel, Margarito Luna Jr., Jimmy Luna and step-father, Margarito Luna Sr, He was preceded in death by his mother.

Arletta Ann Roach, 75, loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, was called to her heavenly home on Thursday, July 23, 2015, at her home with family at her bedside. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 410 NE 27th Street, Grand Prairie, Texas, 75050. Arletta was born on March 25, 1940, the daughter of the late R. B. Stanley and the late Vida Lee Meeks Stanley in Ada, Oklahoma. She attended schools and graduated from the Birdville Independent School District. Many will remember Arletta for her dedication to family and friends. As owner of the Snack Shack Convenience Store in Grand Prairie, she often made sure those in need had the resources to eat and have a better life. She was never afraid to look for the good in people, and was always willing to give others a second chance. She is survived by her husband of forty-three years, Thomas Dale Roach; children, Beverly Burnett, Brenda Velasquez, Rev. David Grice, Sandra Jajtner; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Jo Bryson; half-brother, Kenneth Stanley. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ila Fay Darter and a grandson, Bradley Burnett.

This is to announce the untimely passing of our sweet Marie Lynn Fowler Sheffer who was born on October, 9 1956 in Germany and passed away on July 28, 2015 in Arlington, TX. She moved to California in 1975 during her senior year at Lake Highlands High School and graduated from Huntington Beach High School in California. In 1978, she met Donald Rolla Sheffer, and they married in 1986. Marie is survived by her husband, Donald Rolla Sheffer, son Timothy Jared Sheffer, daughter Stefanie Marie Sheffer, grandsons Bently Sheffer & Gavin Sheffer, granddaughter Emily Chancelor, mother Millie Fowler, father Woody Fowler, twin sister Diana Fowler Dunn, brothers Dwain and Ben Fowler. She was the glue that held our family together, a beautiful person inside and out and will be truly missed by all.

She was born in Terrell, Texas, the oldest of 7 children. She would move to Grand Prairie where she would live the majority of her life. Survivors: children, Eddie Lee McCullough, Diane Bannister and her spouse Roy; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Linda Blair and her spouse Andy and Dorothy McCullough. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Lee McCullough; children, Larry Boswell, Gale Brunson; grandchild, Courtney Brunson; siblings, Douglas Dickens, Ray Dickens, Shelia Fortune and Paul Dickens.

Troy Ray Douglas
Troy Ray Douglas, 84, was welcomed into eternal paradise, August 15, 2015 in El Paso, Texas with his family by his side. Troy was born on July 11, 1931 in Merkel, Texas, the son of the late Earnest Douglas and Lola Goodwin. He would marry the love of his life Anna Lee Ahfield in 1959 and move to El Paso to raise a family and enjoy the rest of his years. Troy loved the outdoors. He would often take trips with friends and go camping, hunting, four-wheeling and fishing, but more especially he loved his family. Troy was an El Paso County Sheriff’s Officer for 25 years and during that time started his own business of 40 years, Douglas Pest Control. He served in the military for 2 years and was a member of the VFW Post, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Elks Lodge, Odd Fellows, and was a Past Commander of the American Legion Post 36. Troy is survived by his Sons, Ron Douglas and wife Debbie, John Douglas and fiancé Kristin Morgan; Glen Douglas and wife Sandy; Daughter, Cindy Jones and husband Phil. 11 grand children, and 6 great grand children. Troy is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Anna Lee Douglas, who welcomed him home this afternoon with open arms. Arrangements entrusted to Guerrero Dean Funeral Home, under the direction of Aaron King, funeral director.

Gary Lynn Ford, 62, a native of Ft. Smith, Arkansas and long-time resident of the Dallas area, passed from this life to life eternal on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in McKinney. Graveside Service: 11:30 a.m. on Friday, August 21, 2015 at Sparkman-Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas. Gary was born on November 17, 1952, the youngest of 3 children born to the late Joe Lynn Ford and the late Nina Norine Frankline Ford. As the child of a military family, he would live in various places across the United States, including San Antonio, Austin, Montgomery and in Florida. After his father’s military service, the family would settle in Irving. Gary was skilled in sign design and was instrumental in several noteworthy projects. One of his proudest accomplishments was the work he performed on the sign that is now at the Texas Motor Speedway. It also complimented one of his favorite pastimes, automobile racing. He was also a sports enthusiast and an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He is survived by a daughter, Jerri Christina Ford-Jennings; 2 grandchildren; sisters, Julia Johnson, Lynne Woods; nephews, Jason Johnson, Vance Johnson, Keith Johnson, Doug Woods, Steven Woods, Brad Woods; and a niece, Carol Anne Roman. Gary had been a member of Lions Clubs International.
